Two former professional rugby players and brothers are swapping the pitch for a run around the Roseland Peninsula to raise money and awareness for autism.
Ex‑Cornish Pirates players Paul and Jack Andrew are currently taking part in the Run for Autism campaign, which will see them running 40km around the peninsula.
The duo hopes to raise £5,000 and is documenting the challenge on Instagram at @scrum_to_40k.
For Jack, the reason behind the run is deeply personal. He said: “As a parent of an autistic child, I know the amazing but difficult journey it can be.
“It’s taught us to celebrate the little things, appreciate the big things and see the world through a different lens.
“So along with my brother, we’ve decided to step well outside our comfort zone and take on a 40km running challenge around the Roseland Peninsula, the place we’re proud to call home.”
Jack, described by many as a “true stalwart of Cornish rugby”, has been sharing his training journey on social media and is asking for support - whether donations, shares, or encouragement along the way.
“40km. Two brothers. One huge challenge. All for autism,” he said. “Let’s do this.”
